Kenya and Tanzania Classic Safari

Travelling directly between the open plains of the Masai Mara and the granite outcrops of the Serengeti adds a certain thrill to this classic safari. Most of the travel is by road making this a very scenic safari, though a few of the longer journeys are by plane.

 

Safari Routing

01 Transfer to your Nairobi hotel.

02 Flight to Naivasha/Nanyuki. Transfer to your accommodation and afternoon game activity.

03 Transfer to the airport and fly to Masai Mara. Lunch and an afternoon game drive.

04 Morning and afternoon game activities.

05 Transfer by road from Masai Mara to Serengeti via the Isebania border post. There will be a picnic lunch en route and the afternoon will be spent on a game drive.

06 Morning and afternoon game activities.

07 Drive via Olduvai Gorge to Ngorongoro Crater. Lunch and Maasai village visit or nature walk.

08 Game-viewing in the Crater followed by lunch at the lodge. Afternoon Maasai village visit or nature walk.

09 Depart to Mto wa Mbu Village for lunch and a cultural experience. From here,continue to Lake Manyara National Park for an afternoon game drive.

10 Morning depart to Arusha, lunch and afternoon flight to Nairobi for your onward travel arrangements.

Serena Lodges

Serena Lodges provide some of the country’s most stunning and well managed accommodation. They are all in great locations for immediate game-viewing. For example, in Amboseli the lodge lies in a forest of acacia that looks out over a flat plain overshadowed by Kilimanjaro. In Samburu, the lodge is nestled amidst towering acacia groves that border the crocodile-filled Ewaso Ngiro River and in the Mara, Serengeti and Lake Manyara the lodges are built high on bush-cloaked hills with lovely views. With excellent African and international cuisine ranging from roast chickens and meats to pastas, fresh salads and fish, expect three wholesome meals a day that will be delicious. Away from the lodge, activities are conducted by knowledgeable guides in four-wheel drive vehicles. They will share their enthusiasm and skills in seeking out the smallest of animal species.
