Safari Routing

01 Depart Arusha early afternoon and drive to Lake Manyara.

02 Morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park and lunch at the lodge. Afternoon depart for Serengeti.

03 Morning and afternoon game drives.

04 Game drive en route to Olduvai Gorge with a picnic lunch and then depart for Ngorongoro.

05 Game-viewing in the Crater with lunch at the lodge. Afternoon Maasai village visit or nature walk.

06 Morning depart to Tarangire. Lunch and an afternoon game drive.

07 Morning flight to Ruaha, followed by three days filled with walking safaris and game drives.

This is without doubt a rare opportunity to combine two of Africa’s last untamed wilderness areas, Mahale and Katavi. Both parks are still largely undiscovered and receive very few visitors each year due to their remoteness. Days are full of enchantment, romance and spectacular plentiful wildlife. The camps are intimate, rustic and very charming. With guides who are extremely knowledgeable, the safari is about discovering the intricate workings of bush life.

Chimpanzee Encounters

Nothing can prepare you for an encounter with chimps. Whether it is on a pebbled beach or deep within the forest, it is breathtaking. The following two safaris spend three days in two very different parks, so speak to us before deciding which to visit. Both itineraries are excellent and camps are on the water’s edge, though access to Gombe is by boat and Mahale is by light aircraft.
