N’giresi Village

Living on the rich picturesque slopes of Mount Meru, only 7km from Arusha, the inhabitants of N’giresi Village are all farmers of the Wa-Arusha tribe - agricultural members of the Maasai. This is a fascinating afternoon’s excursion, with tea and coffee at Mzee Loti’s farm as well as explanations about their bio-gas, crossbreeding and soil conservation projects. There is also a chance to wander around the village, meet the people, visit the school and perhaps trek up Lekimana Hill. From here on a clear day, there are beautiful views over Arusha and the Masai plains.
