Flying to Serengeti for the first three nights is the ultimate start to any safari.

With ample time to explore Serengeti’s plains, valleys and granite outcrops, other highlights will include cultural interactions, picnic lunches and some great nature walks. For those staying at Kikoti, walking safaris and night game drives will also form part of the safari. The itinerary may also operate in reverse.

07 Morning depart to Tarangire with game-viewing en route. Lunch and an afternoon game drive. Night game drive after dinner.

08 Early morning walk, followed by a full day in the park with a picnic lunch. Sundowners, Maasai dancing and a night game drive end the day.

Mto wa Mbu Village

Near the shores of Lake Manyara, this village is a living example of one of the richest linguistic mixes in Africa. Home to over 90 tribes, Mto wa Mbu is possibly the only place you can hear Bantu, Nilotic, Khoisan and Cushitic being spoken in the same marketplace. A guide will accompany you to local homes, farmlands, resident bars, a kindergarten and a church. Afterwards, enjoy a traditional lunch with many local fruits.

02 Morning game drive in Manyara Park National Park. After lunch, depart for Serengeti with game-viewing en route.

03 Morning and afternoon game drives.

04 Game drive en route to Olduvai Gorge. After a picnic lunch, continue to Ngorongoro Crater.

05 Game-viewing in the Crater with lunch at the lodge. Afternoon Maasai village visit or nature walk.

06 Morning depart to Arusha, lunch and fly to Zanzibar. Transfer to Stone Town.

07 Transfer to your beach hotel or the airport, for your flight to one of the surrounding islands. Three days to enjoy Zanzibar or the island retreat.

10 Itineraries D and F transfer to Zanzibar Airport for onward arrangements, while the other itineraries fly to Dar es Salaam.

08 Morning transfer to Arusha. This afternoon enjoy an excursion of N’giresi Village.

09 A full-day excursion to Arusha National Park with a picnic lunch. As well as a guided walk, this will include a canoe safari on the beautiful Lake Momella in the hope of spotting buffalo, hippo, bushbuck and some splendid birds.
